Kids learn most of what they know from looking. If you give them the
chance to talk about what they see in a safe, student-centered environment, asking them them to back up their ideas with evidence, you will see their language skills improve and their critical thinking skills
grow.
It's simple. To help someone learn, start with what they are
good at, then provide developmentally appropriate challenges. Their success breeds confidence and their new found skills transfer across the cirriculum...tests show it!
All kids can learn
All schools can succeed.
